Newsweek's Most Loved Brands in America 2027 Methodology Overview

Newsweek’s Most Loved Brands in America 2027 is based on a consumer sentiment study that recognizes brands based on their perceived emotional connection and love among consumers in the United States. The study combines a large-scale nationwide survey with an in-depth analysis of thousands of brands that are widely known, relevant and accessible to consumers across the United States.

The study began with an extensive dataset provided by advertising intelligence firm MediaRadar covering thousands of brands with the highest U.S. television advertising expenditures between 2023 and 2025. Following several rounds of plausibility checks assessing relevance to everyday U.S. consumers, more than 4,000 brands were selected for further evaluation.

More than 20,000 U.S. consumers participated in the independent online survey, which was conducted from September to October 2025. Respondents were recruited through online access panels and interviewed anonymously. To ground evaluations in relevant consumer experiences, participants rated only brands they had personally used or were familiar with.

Each brand received an overall score based on two key components:

  • Recommendation Score – 55%
  • Brand Love Score – 45%

The Recommendation Score measured how likely consumers were to recommend a brand to friends, family or colleagues. The Brand Love Score assessed several dimensions of the consumer relationship with a brand, including brand affinity and purchase intent.

Media monitoring was conducted using relevant keywords in the Critical Mention media monitoring platform by Onclusive between October 6, 2024, and October 6, 2026. Decisions to exclude companies from the final ranking were based on editorial review by Newsweek in collaboration with Plant-A Insights.

A proprietary scoring model was used to evaluate each brand. The highest-scoring brands were recognized by Plant-A Insights and Newsweek as Newsweek’s Most Loved Brands in America 2027.

The exclusion of a brand from the ranking is not a reflection of its overall performance and is not disputed.

No-pay to be ranked: there is no placement fee. Each ranking is independent research, built on the methodology established for that study.
