America’s Greatest Workplaces for Perks & Benefits 2026 Methodology Overview
America’s Greatest Workplaces for Perks & Benefits 2026 recognizes employers who go above and beyond to provide their employees with exceptional perks and benefits. The comprehensive study combines a large-scale national survey, extensive desk research and third-party data to evaluate companies employing over 1,000 individuals.
The large-scale, independent survey was conducted between April 2025 and October 2025, collecting responses from more than 179,000 employees. Additionally, data from three previous studies that took place between 2022 and 2024 encompassing 400,000 interviews were integrated with a reduced weight. This makes America’s Greatest Workplaces for Perks & Benefits 2026 one of the country’s largest independent employee studies.
Plant-A Insights Group partnered with Aniline, a leading HR analytics firm, to leverage an extensive dataset of over 37 million data points across more than 120 Key Performance Indicators (KPI). The KPIs most relevant for perks and benefits, which include time off, equity and stock, performance-based compensation, remote work and retirement benefits, were weighted higher in the analysis to serve as a reliable external benchmark.
The Critical Mention media monitoring platform from Onclusive was utilized to investigate whether employers were implicated in unfair workplace practices or reported for workplace harassment within the last two years between November 24, 2023, and November 24, 2025. Any employers found engaging in such practices were subsequently excluded from the final ranking list. Newsweek and Plant-A Insights conducted multiple iterations of the media monitoring process to validate the exclusions and ensure the accuracy of the results.
The highest-scoring employers were recognized by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights as America’s Greatest Workplaces for Perks & Benefits 2026.
The exclusion of a company from this list is not a reflection of its performance and is not disputed.
Companies are evaluated based on their workplace performance across a broad set of categories and dimensions. These include, but are not limited to, veterans, women, LGBTQ+, leadership, culture, belonging and community, as well as compensation and benefits. Not all evaluated dimensions result in the publication of a dedicated ranking.
