America’s Greatest Startup Workplaces 2025 Methodology Overview

America’s Greatest Startup Workplaces 2025 celebrates the leading startups across the United States that exemplify outstanding workplace culture and long-term growth potential.

The selection process began with a pool of 20,000 startups and narrowed down to 2,000 companies, each employing at least 50 people. These finalists were chosen based on a range of factors including team size, funding secured, revenue bracket, headquarters location, business model, and founding year.

In partnership with third-party data providers, Plant-A evaluated more than 20 key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess employee experience, sustainability efforts, and growth trajectory. These KPIs encompassed areas such as employee satisfaction, operational performance, customer engagement, investor backing, and future scaling plans.

Startups involved in recent workplace controversies, legal issues, or reputational challenges were excluded from the final list. To ensure this, Plant-A leveraged Onclusive’s media monitoring platform Critical Mention to identify and filter out such cases.
