America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents & Families 2026 Methodology Overview

America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents & Families 2026 recognizes the best employers in the United States from the perspective of working parents. The comprehensive study combines a large-scale national survey, extensive desk research, and third-party data to identify organizations with more than 1,000 employees that provide exceptional workplaces for parents. The national survey was conducted between April 2025 and October 2025, gathering company reviews from more than 100,000 working parents.

Additionally, results from three previous studies conducted between 2022 and 2024 have been incorporated into the overall findings with a reduced weight. In total, more than 300,000 working parents were surveyed between 2022 and 2025, making America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents & Families 2026 one of the nation’s largest independent employee studies focused on working families.

An extensive desk research effort took place to identify and verify additional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to workplace support for parents and caregivers. These metrics include subsidized backup childcare, paid family leave policies exceeding federal minimums, adoption assistance programs, employer-contributed flexible spending accounts, and subsidized cryopreservation benefits. In addition, Plant-A Insights Group partnered with Aniline, a leading HR analytics firm, to evaluate more than 37 million data points across more than 120 KPIs, including benefits, remote work, work-life balance and time off.

The Critical Mention media monitoring platform by Onclusive was utilized to investigate whether employers were implicated in adverse media coverage or public records within the past two years (December 31, 2023, to December 31, 2025). Any employer found engaging in such practices was subsequently excluded from the final ranking list. Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group conducted multiple iterations of the media monitoring process to validate exclusions and ensure the accuracy of the results.

A proprietary scoring model was used to calculate the overall score for each company, incorporating weights across target groups, questionnaire items, categories, desk research and third-party data. The highest-scoring employers have been officially recognized by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group as America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents & Families 2026.

Plant-A Insights Group has a strict no-pay-to-play policy. All awards are based on independent research and unbiased data analysis.
