America’s Greatest Midsize Workplaces 2025 Methodology Overview

America’s Greatest Midsize Workplaces 2025 recognizes the top-performing midsize companies in the U.S., based on their excellence across critical workplace-related categories.

The ranking was developed through an in-depth analysis of more than 3.5 million online employee reviews and publicly available data from 9,000 companies with 500 to 1,000 employees. As part of the process, Plant-A conducted a survey to assess the significance of various workplace factors and built a model that accounted for industry-specific variations.

In collaboration with third-party data provider Aniline, Plant-A utilized a robust dataset featuring over 120 key performance indicators — including leadership, integrity, compensation, career growth, culture and belonging, and work-life balance — to provide a comprehensive view of workplace performance.

Organisations associated unfair workplace practices, legal disputes and reputational issues in the recent past were excluded from the final list. Plant-A leveraged Onclusive’s media monitoring platform Critical Mention to identify and filter out such cases.

Plant-A Insights Group has a strict no-pay-to-play policy. All awards are based on independent research and unbiased data analysis.
