America’s Greatest Workplaces by Industry 2025 Methodology Overview

America’s Greatest Workplaces by Industry 2025 highlights the top employers in the U.S. in 5 key sectors based on a comprehensive evaluation of key workplace metrics from the employee perspective. The sectors that were considered are : Manufacturing, Technology, Professional Services, Financial Services and Health Care.

The study includes an assessment of publicly available data, along with discussions and interviews with HR professionals. Additionally, Plant-A conducts a large-scale, confidential online survey of employees at U.S. companies, gathering feedback on topics such as sustainability and awareness, compensation and benefits, training and career development, work-life balance, workplace environment, company reputation, and corporate culture. The study is designed to be demographically representative, aligning with U.S. Census Data. To qualify for consideration, companies had to be part any of the 5 industries and employ more than 1,000 people.

More than 400,000 U.S. employees participated, contributing over 4.9 million detailed company reviews. This makes the study one of the most extensive independent employee research efforts in the nation.

Every company ranked on these lists is screened for unfair workplace practices, legal disputes and reputational issues using Critical Mention’s media monitoring platform Onclusive. Every mention is then carefully analysed and companies involved in critical issues are excluded from the rankings.

We partnered with a 3rd party data provider, Aniline, to use their 120+ KPI database for US based companies. KPIs includes Leadership, Integrity, Compensation, Work life balance scores, and many more.
